Developing Sustainable Directions (D.S.D) is an Australian company dedicated to researching and developing environmentally sound building solutions. greenbuildingaustralia.com.au has been developed by D.S.D as a resource for the building industry, highlighting the benefits and importance of using environmentally sustainable materials and practices. By using natural, smarter building materials we will reduce our reliance on the forests and petro/chemical based products thus:
• Reducing the impact building has on the environment.
• Helping to be a part of the climate change solution through increasing carbon • awareness in mainstream building.
Core building materials and practices have developed little in recent decades leaving a construction industry reliant on low technology and environmentally damaging methods. D.S.D is working with other world leaders in sustainable building to provide the Australian building industry with healthy, environmentally friendly products for construction such as; bio-composite concrete, composite wood alternatives, natural fiber insulation and alternative hard wood flooring.
